front suspension fork

I have a Giant Yukon i bought 3 years ago. i am in the military and while I was Deploying my family was being re-located to Germany. The movers took apart my bike completely. I got most put back together while on R&R but I can't seem to get the front suspention forks back on. the Berings are exposed and it seems like I am missing spacers. on top of all that they are leaking from a seal. I was looking into buying a new front suspension fork and was looking at the Rock Shox dart 2 or a marzocchi. would this be a good replacement. I am not an extreme rider I do alot of trails some small jumps in comparison to most nothing over 8 feet. I believe my current shock were 100mm. Any help is most appericiated. thanks for your time.
