My front tire rubs when fork compresses

I just installed a set of 09 rock shox sid race forks on my GT. I ride a 26" wheel and when I'm going up steep inclines the tire rubs the cross bar of the fork. this only happens on the disc side. when i look at the alignment the tire and wheel seem to be true however they do seem to install closer to the cross bar on the disc brake side.
Any suggestions?
